CNN “Behind the Scenes” Tour – Terra Cotta Soldiers
Posted by scotch in Family Fun, Family News, Family Outing, Holidays on March 18, 2009
The Roberts Family got to experience two very unique things today. We went on the CNN World Headquarters tour today. We saw a few of the behind the scenes scenarios to todays live broadcast. As well, we explored a couple of the Turner Broadcasting network shops offering their cablewares.
Bella got her picture taken at a CNN Broadcasting desk. And since we do not have a scanner with us, I will have to upload the pic of her later.
What I do not have pictures of are the exhibits of the High Museum of Art’s “The First Emperor” exhibit. Several of the terra cotta soldiers were on display, as well as many other artifacts from the same period. The girls were, of course, bored to death with the exhibit, but it was nonetheless enthralling to a history buff.
World of Coca-Cola Museum/Georgia Aquarium

Well, our plans to go to Six Flags on Sunday ended up drizzling out in rain all day. So instead we took the kids bowling right down the street from the hotel. They had a blast!
Monday we went downtown and got ourselves the City Pass. We went to the World of Coca-Cola Museum and the Georgia Aquarium. CJ tried 64 different Coke beverages from around the world. Kaya claims to have tried fifty different kinds. Here are a few pics from the day (and I threw in a couple from the trip here).

Well, our big girl is now 7 years old. She is getting to spend her birthday in Atlanta while we are on vacation. Today, we have Six Flags over Georgia planned, but the weather may be to yucky to go. We will have to wait and see….
Bella’s 5th Birthday Fiesta
Posted by scotch in Family Fun on August 9, 2008
Bella had a spectacular birthday fiesta. We had Mexican food, PB&J sandwiches and of course cake & ice cream. All the kids loved beating the Tinkerbell piñata. They lounged in the lovely kiddie pool and cooled off on the Slip and Slide.
July 2008 Birthday Bash!

Mom had a slew of folks over at her house for the July birthday peoples. We grilled burgers, hot dogs, sausage and had some great baked beans and potato salad. The girls did their first long term successful swimming without floaties yesterday and were ELATED about it!
Here’s a few pics from the day!
